Today I made the Page Actions public. It's a tool to monitor traffic and users' actions on websites and web applications.

I decided to build another analytics tool because there is no one that explains how users interact with my forms published on my websites. Most analytics platforms allow sending custom events, but what they show is only how many times a certain event was reported.

What I needed was a list of actions that the user performed during a visit and in what order.

The other thing is that often users start interacting with a form and leave the page without submitting. I wanted to know when they are leaving because it's often a sign that something is not working or should be improved.

Of course there are tools that perform screen recording. I've used a few of such products, but it takes a lot of time to watch multiple recorded sessions.

It was also important to have a tool that respects privacy and doesn't use cookies or other browser storage. I just don't want to add annoying cookie banners.
